“Get More Out of Your Health Care! Learn, Navigate. Take Charge.”

This fall, Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging has collaborated with the University of Illinois College of Medicine to be a location for their Urban Medicine Program. As part of this program, Graceland Center will be able to have 3 medical students on site to do education with our participants! This is part of our "Special Thursdays" Program. We are grateful for the UICOMP's interest in advancing the health and wellbeing of older adults in their medical curriculum. 

The students have a very busy schedule. Their best availability to provide seminars and workshops for Graceland Center participants is Thursday afternoon, once a month. The series of special Thursdays for the students will be October 22nd, November 19th, and December 17th from 12:30 pm until 2 pm.  

Plan ahead to stay a bit later on these very special Thursdays to learn what these dedicated medical professionals would like to offer for our benefit. 

They are kicking off the sessions with "Get More Out of Your Healthcare: Learn. Navigate. Take Charge." on Thursday October 22nd. We look forward to learning together how to advocate for our health!
