Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging thanks our Advisory Board Volunteers!

Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging has a growing and strong volunteer force! April is Volunteer Appreciation Month and we want to thank those persons who have come forward to meet monthly on our Advisory Board, regularly help set up and take down for our programs and often help staff our off site fundraising and marketing events! 

The needs of seniors in Peoria is great and is a situation that needs to be addressed by the community as a whole. This effort must be a grass roots level undertaking, where the people of Peoria take action to promote the well being of older adults. Graceland Center is doing just that, creating an inclusive, welcoming, community based senior center for the benefit of all persons in Peoria over the age of 50 years. That number of persons is greater than 30,000! The board and program coordinators of Graceland Center are extremely appreciative of this initial group of community persons who have taken the initiative to get involved! In addition to this group are many of our participants who chip in to help and take our marketing materials to churches, friends, and community gatherings to invite others to participate. We are a growing community due to the steadfast support of our participants! Please come to find out what our effort is all about and join in the fun and fellowship! You will be glad you did!
