Receives Community Foundation of Central Illinois Community Needs Grant

On October 28, Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging was awarded a 2025 Community Needs Grant from the Community Foundation of Central Illinois in a check presentation during Graceland Center's programming. Mark Roberts, President and CEO of the Community Foundation, explained the mission of the Foundation to support nonprofit entities that are serving for the good of Peoria. The vision of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois is to make a sustainable philanthropic impact in our community through visible leadership in connecting people who care with causes that matter. We are grateful for the sustaining financial support of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois; it has been pivitol in establishing Graceland Center's programs and growth! 

Graceland Center is utilizing Community Foundation of Central Illinois funds to:
•    Increase the number of days that programming is provided, one day at a time.
     Funds will help pay for additional rental space costs. 
•    Increase public awareness through marketing for the need of a fulltime senior center in Peoria to promote attendance and donor support of this critical need for older adults in Peoria.
