“We Are Better Together!”

Graceland Center collaborated with Age Central, the Peoria County Health Department and the TriCounty Urban League to host the first of a series of 3 Fraud-Free & Connected: Peoria Senior Safety Hub event Monday November 17th!

We had a fun time line dancing with Cassandra Anderson after learning about how to prevent Medicare related fraud! 

Cassandra Anderson is an excellent instructor and guided us through the moves with smiles and laughter!

Diana Hanks, VDC Options Counselor, and Mitch Forrest, Director of Planning and Research, presented how to avoid Medicare Fraud, followed by a fun interactive BINGO game to check our knowledge!

Dr. Leslie McKnight, Chief Health Strategist, from the Peoria City County Health Department spoke about services available through the health department for older adults.

Felisa Durr, CEO of the TriCounty Urban League welcomed the group and presented the multiple programs available for the community at TCUL.

Peggy Jacques, Founder of Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging, encouraged socialization, learning and connecting to resources to age well in Peoria.
