SAVE the DATE: Mama Joe Project Wednesday July 8th 6 pm -8 pm

Important Event for Wellness, Caregiver Support and HOPE!
FREE Event!!

The Mama Joe Project centers storytelling via film as part of educational outreach to support caregivers, promote healthy aging, and improve outcomes for those navigating Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Graceland Center for Purposeful Aging is honored to promote this important event for a Community Engagement Forum, and hope that you too will join.

Since fall of 2024, the Mama Joe project has been executing community outreach that includes:

·       Screening the documentary film “My Mama Joe, Hope & Help” which streams nationwide on PBS, and features the story of my own mother, and the dynamics of caregiving for her as a person living with dementia.

·       Post-film audience Q&A with area practitioners and professionals with expertise in film themes

·       Info-tables, with area organizations and agencies serving as resource materials.

This is a free event, open to all ages and audiences in or near Peoria and Tazewell County. All attendees will receive a complimentary popcorn, soft drink, and a resource guide.  By better connecting attendees to information, resources, and social networks our hope is for improved health and quality of life.

We hope that you will participate in any combination of ways

1.    Support by spreading the word broadly via your personal and professional channels

2.    Support by participating with your attendance!

We look forward to sharing this beautiful film and its message of hope with you and those you love!
