We have some exciting news! At the Special Meeting of the Township on May 12th, Graceland Center successfully moved to request that the Board of Trustees create a Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee to study the feasibility of creating a sustainable senior wellness center for Peoria. Thank you to the many who showed up to vote for this motion and the many persons who supported us online. 

Now, we need your support to take the next big step.

The Goal:
On Tuesday, July14, we are formally requesting the creation of a Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee that was approved for a vote of the trustees at the Special Town Meeting.

This township committee will be tasked with a vital mission: conducting a feasibility study to determine how Peoria can finally establish and sustain a permanent, full-time senior center. The Board of Trustees (City Council Representatives) will vote whether or not to approve such a committee and feasibility study. 

How You Can Help:
We need a sea of supporters at City Hall to show local leaders that this matters. This is the essential next step in securing broad community support for a center to call our own.
