Graceland Center Requests a Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee at Special Town Meeting May 12th

May 12th Special Town Meeting with the Peoria Township

At the April 14th meeting, over 50 people showed up to vote YES for a "Special Meeting" be called for the discussion and implementation of a study for the Township for the purpose of using Township funds to provide service to senior citizens. At this Special Town Meeting we will ask for a commission of a Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee to do a feasibility study as to how Peoria can support a senior center. This is a public meeting, all may attend. Voters who live in Peoria Township will be eligible to vote in the Annual Meeting. Please show up and demonstrate your commitment to the need of a senior center for Peoria! Come early to be sure to get a seat and bring your ID!  Voting YES to have a "Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee” will enable Graceland Center and other advocates to discuss the needs of Peoria's older adults and explore how these needs can be met, potentially with the assistance of Township funding.
