Graceland Center received a City of Peoria Proclamation of Septemeber as Senior Center Month at the September 8th City Council Meeting. Our proclamation stated clearly that senior centers connect older adults to vital services, activities, and community. Senior centers offer so much more than just a place to gather—they are vibrant community hubs that help older adults stay healthy and engaged. From health and wellness programs to social activities, educational workshops, and access to essential services, senior centers help older adults maintain their independence and quality of life while promoting a positive image of aging.  This is exactly the purpose of Graceland Center. 

We continue to check in on the Peoria Township office for the development of the Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee resolution that was approved July 28th to study HOW Peoria can support improved social services to Older adults in Peoria.
