Join us for a Once in a Lifetime Experience! Let's Create a Legendary Mural for Peoria!

Graceland Center is thrilled to announce an exciting new art project, generously funded by AARP! 

Participants from Graceland Center will partner with youth and families from the Westminster Connected Families to paint a vibrant artist’s rendition of "Celebrate Generations, Peoria!"  We surveyed participants from Graceland Center, youth, and their adults for ideas which artist Megan Couri will weave into a design for us to paint together. This community mural will serve as a lasting artistic contribution to Peoria—celebrating the beauty of intergenerational relationships and visually honoring the vital role older adults play in our families, friendships, and neighborhoods.

Join the Fun!

•    🗓️ Thursday September 3 and September 10 5:30 pm-7:30 pm

•   📍 Westminster Community Center 1420 W Moss Ave Peoria, Il 61606

•    💼 No Experience required: The mural will be a paint by number! Wear clothes can get messy! 

We will serve a light dinner at 5:30 pm and then will start shifts of painting for 30 minutes of 5 persons each. We will schedule you at your preferred time, if possible.

When the mural is completed, it will be displayed in rotation on the wall of C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction building at 1323 SW Adams in Peoria, 61602; the corner of SW Adams and MacArthur Highway.
