What a way to close a chapter! On our final Wednesday together at the Life Together Center (May 27th), we crowned our monthly Birthday Bash with an epic group photo featuring our anthem: "Celebrating Past, Present, and Future!"
And wow, do we have a lot to celebrate!
Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane to see just how far we’ve come:
September 2023: We started with just one day a week and a cozy group of about 10 participants.
May 2026: We have officially boomed into three full days of programming with an average of 40+ energetic participants every single day! That's an increase of 300%!
In less than three years, Graceland Center has become Peoria’s absolute beacon of hope, friendship, fun, and vital resources for older adults. Together, we have built something truly magical. We’ve exercised our bodies, expanded our minds, celebrated life’s major milestones, leaned on one another through tough times, and partnered with the wider community to ensure Peoria's seniors thrive.

While we are deeply grateful for our past and absolutely loving our present growth, we are skyrocketing toward the future. Our next stop? The Westminster Community Center!
This exciting new space will allow us to keep expanding, keep welcoming new friends, and bring us closer than ever to our ultimate dream: creating a vibrant, full-time senior center for Peoria’s older adults.
